This sounds familiar…

From the Wall Street Journal... "Google has begun experimenting with the creation of offsite "skunkworks" operations to develop cutting-edge products and separating out parts of the business to be run as more autonomous units within the company."

Hmmm...

Um, I think you actually have to *do* it, rather than just talk about it for a year, before you get to act superior.

John,

Brickhouse has been up running for at least 3 months, the facility is packed to the gills, and our first project (pipes.yahoo.com) launched to critical acclaim (Tim O'Reilly called it a "milestone in the history of the internet."

So,
a) I'd say we're *doing* it and then some ;-) , and
b) Certainly don't feel I'm acting "superior" to anyone... How is saying that the model sounds familiar a declaration of superiority?

It's at best flattering and validating...
