Bradley Horowitz is an entrepreneur, corporate executive, and investor and advisor to numerous startups. Horowitz was a Vice President of Product Management at Google, where he led the development of many of Google’s consumer products including Google Photos, Google News, Gmail, Google Drive and Docs, Google Voice, and Calendar. He also led Google for Startups (an effort to foster opportunity for entrepreneurs worldwide) and co-founded Area 120 (Google’s internal incubator.)
Before joining Google, Horowitz served as Yahoo's Vice President of Advanced Development where he helped architect their Web 2.0 renaissance. Previously, he was co-founder and CTO of Virage and oversaw the technical direction of the company from its founding through to its IPO on NASDAQ.
Bradley received his BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan and his MS from the MIT Media Lab. As a Ph.D. candidate at MIT, he worked on topics related to computer vision, graphics and image processing and he holds more than a dozen patents in these fields. He has been appointed fellowships at both Cornell and Stanford. Horowitz is presently on the corporate boards of Circle and Lyst, and has previously served on the boards of Singapore Telecom, the MIT Media Lab, Curious Learning, Issuu, and the Effortless Mastery Institute.
As a leading industry “angel”, Horowitz has invested in over 150 startups and in 2024 he was named the tenth best Seed Investor in the industry by Business Insider. His personal portfolio includes numerous “unicorns” including Slack, Upstart, NerdWallet, Cerebras, Miro, Mercury, Ramp, Scale, Applied Intuition, Mammoth Biosciences, etc. He is a co-founding partner of Wisdom Ventures, a firm focused on investing in businesses that drive positive impact as well as extraordinary returns.
